Othello Vs. The Duchess: A Love Story

Really, I'm only doing this to push a friendlier image to the top. What was I thinking starting this bloggy adventure with dragon ass? That thing could ignite the entire town if he got his claws on too many spicy tacos.

Sidenote: Dragons Love Tacos is an excellent read for any age, but especially if you are 2-5 years old. Are you? No way. Hiiiii! How are you today? Dragons lovvvve tacos, amirite? Okay, have a cookie.

I was prancing through the library the other day—he mentioned as nonchalantly as if he'd been barking on about how he had high tea with the duchess—and I noticed a bust.

A bust!

This is Othello, gazing intently on what, I don't know. A snowball, maybe? Hiya.

OTHELLO, SO MELLOW
OTHELLO, SO MELLOW

It is the cause.

It is the cause, my soul. Let me not name it to you, thou chaste stars

It is the cause.

Yet I will not shed her blood

Nor scar that whiter skin of hers than snow

And smooth as monumental alabaster...

Yet, she must die, else she betray more men

Put out the light and then put out the light!

Look at the big memory on Bry! Was I close? Not checking. Pretty sure I forgot like 30 lines in the middle there. Anyway, I performed that soliloquy in High School and still think about it at least once a year. It's like Al Bundy's last football game already. Give it up.

NEVER! TOUCHDOWN!

Granted, it was sort of messed up to stone cold murder a friend of mine, Desdemona (not her real name), on stage. But the lines have stuck with me ever since. In retrospect, Dezzy, I probably should've been looking harder at Iago. I mean... his name was Iago. That right there should made him suspect.

Peace, O.
Peace, O.

That's me trying to act cool and hoping no one else in the 'berry is watching. But Shakespeare is calling to me again, and some of his work might play a sizable part in my next undertaking. Without the high tea and duchessing, probably. So any time I recognize a moment to snap a pic for inspiration, I'm gonna take it! Whether an actual pic or one of the MIND, I'm on the lookout. And seeing that spring is blossoming all around, I'm sure the fairies will be flitting right on the peripheral of the bloom. So I'll be on the lookout for them, too.

OMG be careful up there!

That's enough stalling for today. Back at it.

Sugar and spice and fiction and truth,

B
